FedEx Kinkos complaint by Jrup
A colleague shipped me blood samples on Thursday 2/21/2008 next day delivery. The zip-code was incorrect in the last digit. FedEx did not contact anyone regarding this they just held it at the station. When I called them at 1pm on Friday 2/22/08 the day it was supposed to be delivered they said they could not deliver it until Monday. What is the point of paying for next day service? The person on the phone told me that there are no drivers available. Are you telling me that FedEx employees don't work after 1 pm on Fridays? Now I have to drive to the station and pick up the package. What a waste of money. I will never choose FedEx to ship my time sensitive material ever again. They obviously do not care about their consumers.

While a bad zip can cause very real problems. Like being sent to the wrong facility in your area. Its far more likely the station just didn't have anyone available to deliver. You really don't expect a manager to step up since it wasn't a FedEx problem do you?

FedEx is a new company now adays. Only the biggest shippers get any concern from mgmt.

FedEx has made enemies not only of their employees but customers as well.

Engineers run the show now. Expect it to get worse.

Just my thoughts---

If the zip code was incorrect, shouldn't your anger be towards your colleague who shipped you the package with a bad zip?

What if the correct zip code was delivered out of a different facility from the incorrect zip code?

Would it need to be transferred to the correct station before it could be delivered?

Wouldn't they have hundreds of incorrect addresses that they would manually have to sift through to find the correct address, causing the delay?

If their drivers leave the building in the morning to make their deliveries, who is left at the facility at 1:00pm to deliver packages?

Do their drivers sit at the facility doing nothing all day waiting while still getting paid?

Again, just my thoughts........
